The Health and Safety Committee consists of the Headteacher, the governor responsible for Health and Safety, and a member of staff. They ensure that an annual audit is conducted regarding the security of:

• pupils,staff and visitors
• school buildings and grounds
• school equipment
• school relationships with the local community.

This security audit overlaps with the wider-ranging risk assessments conducted in compliance with Health and Safety regulations, but the emphasis in the security audit is on risks originating from outside the school community, rather than from risks arising from within. The Committee will therefore keep under review aspects of our interaction with the local and wider community through book fairs, invited guests, theatre groups, discos etc.

All visitors must sign in and wear a school badge.
