EYFS Admissions

At our school…

A school place is made available to all children from the September following their 4th birthday.

Full time education is available to all reception pupils (EYFS)

All children generally start fulltime from the first day of the Autumn Term. We go for it! However, if this does not suit your child please talk to us and we will make arrangements as appropriate and legal!

The school day is 9am – 3pm.

We want to ensure that your child has the smoothest possible start to his or her school career. This information is to help you know what to do and when to do it!  (The whole process is probably more difficult for you, than it is for your little one!). However, there is a lot to think about and it can spoil what should be an exciting & enjoyable time for you and your child if you feel unsure. Read on………

All our admissions are co-ordinated by the Schools Admission Team, Schools Branch. You can contact them via the Customer Care Team at County Hall in Trowbridge on 0300 456 0100 . Induction Sessions for our new pupils

  • Wednesday 26th June 2024
  • Wednesday 3rd July 2024

Please come to as many as you can! Some or all.

Contact with Pre-School Settings

A member of staff from our Early Years Team contacts each child’s pre-school setting.  We liaise closely with the staff in each setting and receive the Foundation Stage Profile for each of the children. If you have any concerns regarding your child starting school please contact Mrs Justine Watkins, via the school office, and she may arrange for extra visits to be made or arrange for individualised arrangements to be made.

When can my child start school?

Your child must be in full-time education from the start of the term following his or her fifth birthday. In Wiltshire, children can start school from the September following their fourth birthday.
